This Hub contains dedicated on-demand content for Staff Health Coordinators to maximise uptake of your influenza vaccination program. Our aim was to pull together a diverse range of innovative, engaging and current content; helping you to protect more staff and patients from influenza. WATCH THE DEMO VIDEO (on the right) for a quick overview.
Explore best practices from Australia and around the world, on-demand webinars covering the current influenza season and communication skills, an animation explaining how influenza vaccines are made, and more.
Staff Health Coordinators around Australia face similar challenges rolling out influenza vaccination programs, so we engaged IQVIA research to explore what strategies were most effective in maximising uptake of their program. This document summarises the findings to inspire change by sharing best practice.
A recent review analysed the success of various interventions to increase vaccination coverage in healthcare facilities around the world. The review highlighted that what makes the difference in exceeding 80% vaccination uptake is a result of policies, incentives and combined interventions. We’ve taken these specific interventions and looked at how they are being applied both locally and around the world.
We wanted to bring your attention to the newly developed Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Guidelines, developed by the RACGP in partnership with APNA. These new IPC Guidelines provide updated guidance on planning and implementing high-quality IPC standards for general practices and allied care practices. This includes staff immunisation policy and procedures, plus vaccinations for health professionals.
The National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillance (NCIRS) have recently launched influenza resources for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and immunisation providers. Rather than reinvent the wheel, we wanted to bring these resources to your attention, as many healthcare workers are of First Nations descent.
If there are resources materials you would find useful or educational content you would like to see that aren't available on the HCW Hub, please email your suggestions to influenza.au@sanofi.com
